Broadway plays that caught my attention: Fifty Percent, a story that is both modern and ancient tells of a lonely widow, named Bea, who meets a man in a Ballroom, and is quickly consumed with adoration. After pursuing an interest, she shortly after discovers that this man is married with kids. Although, Bea was content with having an affair with him because according to her, she would " rather have fifty percent of him, or any percent of him, than all of anybody else at all ." Bea realizes that she does not live the stereotypical lifestyle of a wife to him, she realizes that even though she does not wear his last name or iron his shirts, she can live with content knowing she has fifty percent of him. The story told is common; love affairs are endlessly prevalent and Bea is a strong woman for that. She found love one other time to the man she was married with, however when he died she found love once again to a married man. After all, we can't help who we love. ...
